Help and info for young people
If it’s happening to YOU
You probably just want it to stop but remember:
- It’s not your responsibility to stop domestic abuse.
- It's not your fault if you are experiencing dating abuse.
- It's important to stay safe.
If it’s happening to a FRIEND
There are things you can to do to help:
- Let them know that it's OK to talk
about it.
- If you are really worried, ask an adult you trust for help.
Getting help
You can speak to any of these organisations about what is going on and get more information. You don’t have to give them your name.
- Childline: 0800 1111 (any time)
- Domestic Abuse Helpline: 0800 027 1234 (any time)
- Women’s Aid
- Eighteen and Under: 0800 731 40 80 (weekdays 9am-5pm)
- The Hideout: a website purely for young people who are experiencing domestic abuse
0800 and 0808 numbers are free from all landlines and most mobiles.
