We worked extensively with the Scottish Executive to ensure that policies or legislative change did not impact adversely on children and young people with experience of domestic abuse. Our main concerns were about risk to safety and confidentiality. We submitted responses to GIRFEC related consultations and gave evidence to parliament. Our lobbying has highlighted the links between child protection and domestic abuse and advocated a measured and safe approach to child protection that recognises the importance of promoting the safety of children and the non-abusing parent
