National Parenting Strategy

The Scottish Government is working towards the development of a National Parenting Strategy, which acknowledges the challenges inherent in being a parent and encourages agencies to work together to improve the support provided to families across Scotland.

Scottish Women’s Aid has contributed to an anthology published in April 2012, which outlines some of the issues facing parents in Scotland today. We have also responded to consultations around the Parenting Strategy and will publish our responses at a later date.
