Policy & Research
A large area of our work is ensuring that policy, legislation and practice works for children, young people and women experiencing domestic abuse, and that they receive adequate protection from the law, as well as suitable housing and safey from abuse.
This means that we consult and lobby around a range of policies, including issues such as welfare reform, the creation of the single police force in Scotland, and no recourse to public funds. Representing our members, as well as women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse, we strive to ensure their voices are at the heart of decisions made at thenational and local goverment level and within legal systems.
